From Cell Cultures to Community Cultures:
Bringing Precision Health to Autism
Funded by Discovery Park Big Ideas Challenge 2.0
Dr. Kelleher is leading an interdisciplinary team of 35+ Purdue faculty to develop novel methods for bringing personalized health to autism. This two-year project, funded by the Discovery Park Big Ideas Challenge 2.0, involves faculty from 8 Purdue Colleges and 5 Discovery Park Institutes, all with a common goal of pushing the field of autism forward. The team is working together to develop a novel home-based assay system, the Purdue Omnityping Kit for Individualized Treatment (POcKIT), to improve assessment and treatment of children at-risk for autism. This project builds on a number of existing strengths at Purdue, including telehealth-based research, cell engineering, environmental exposures, genomics, wearable technologies, neuroimaging, and intervention. Recent press is available here.
